StyleGenie Asia Pte Ltd. (StyleGenie), led by CEO, Abbie Victorino, gets recognized as one of Asia’s most exciting start-ups as it opens the world to the gift of Sustainable Fashion. The RISE Conference featured several promising startups and entrepreneurs during the Breakout Startups segment, including companies like: Edukasyon.ph, Cookly, Botsync and Olivex. Along with these notable companies, StyleGenie was hand-selected by some of the most successful investors in the world to discuss the vision, tech and future of the brand.
While every company took the opportunity to show the world why they deserve the spotlight, Abbie took centerstage with a powerful message about the problem of fashion waste. The video below recaps how StyleGenie plans to solve it.
“Out of an 888 billion dollar industry, 186 billion dollars of that end up in landfills” – Abbie Victorino
But StyleGenie doesn’t only solve problems pertaining to waste and the environment, it also grants fashion wishes by lending a helping hand to those who wish to look stylish but can’t afford the time or expenses. StyleGenie offers their customers the ability to choose their favorite brands and be in on fashion trends with On-Demand Styling, wishlist catalogs and StyleBox subscriptions, each of which enables the customer to enjoy “less effort, less money and less time spent on deciding what to wear.”
This opportunity was made possible through the combined efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry, DOST-PCIEERD, and DICT. They chose 24 Philippine Startups to exhibit as BETA Startup Exhibitors at the said conference.
